Content Cloud customers: Congratulations on making a great decision!
You hold the keys to maximizing the value of your content across all avenues. You can curate any content, mix content, and share content, in any way that you want. We wanted to share some tips to make sure you’re getting the most out of your Content Cloud subscription. Follow these, and you’re well on your way to truly connecting with your audience:
Tip #1: Get all of your earned and owned content into Content Cloud

Content Cloud becomes more and more valuable with every content source you hook up. Right out of the box, you can manually search or automatically stream in content from Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, as well as news and blog content.
Now, think about all the other places you store visual content (photos, videos, PDFs) and ways you might want to incorporate that content into your brand story. The rule of thumb here at Thismoment is “if there’s an API, we’ll make the connection,” so whether you store content in a DAM, WCM or cloud storage system, talk to your Customer Success Manager about making that connection.
Tip #2: Automate earned content curation with the Content Cloud rules engine

It’s easy enough to find content from within the “Find” section of the Content Cloud user interface. Just type in a keyword, use the filters and see the content flow in.
To add some real power to your earned content curation efforts, visit the “Feeds” section, and set up a keyword and hashtag-based ruleset. Using rules, you’ll set up parameters once, and matching user-generated content will flow in, in real-time, to your library or pre-determined playlists… even while you’re sleeping.
Tip #3: Clear usage rights to user generated content—to win over your legal team

If you plan to use images or videos from social networks in your content marketing efforts, you should strongly consider getting approval to use the assets from the rightful content owners—the account where the content was first posted. Lack of approval has led to legal issues in today’s day and age.
Thankfully, getting approvals and clearing usage rights is easy in Content Cloud. Once you’ve found a piece of content that you want to use, simply send a ‘rights request’ with one click. You’ll be able to modify the note you send, or use the pre-formatted suggestions, hit the “send request” button, and move on to your next task. Once content owners approve, the piece of content automatically becomes yours and is marked as available in your content library and playlists.
