Looking for an inexpensive, unusual gift that's a surefire crowd pleaser? This is a recipe I've been using for almost 20 years to make gifts for friends and family. Without further ado, I present The Christmas Chocolate Pizza:
Ingredients:
1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 bags white chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (peanuts or slivered almonds)
1 cup Rice Krispies or generic equivalent
2 cups mini-marshmallows
Eight maraschino or dried-candied cherries
~20 green M&Ms
four small peanut butter cups
six Milk Duds or Rolos
shredded coconut
Directions:
1. grease a 12" pizza pan with crisco
2. melt chocolate chips together in medium saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently until the chocolate is smooth
3. mix the nuts, marshmallows, and rice krispies into the chocolate until all the mixture is coated with chocolate
4. dump mixture into center of pizza pan, gently spread out to edges
5. cut cherries in half, stick them onto the chocolate (like pepperoni)
6. cut peanut butter cups into quarters, stick them onto the chocolate
7. stick the green M&Ms around the chocolate (like peppers, or anchovies?)
8. cut the Milk Duds or Rolos into small pieces, stick them onto the chocolate
9. sprinkle shredded coconut lightly over the top (like cheese!)
10. place chocolate pizza in the refrigerator for about an hour
11. gently pry the pizza off the pan, wrap in wax paper, and place in a pizza box
12. give the pizza to someone, and the fun begins
and last but not least:
13. Enjoy your delicious Moments!
Special thanks to my mom, who gave me the recipe in 1991, and the Laras and Morrisons who have been taste-testing it ever since.

This looks disgusting and I intend to make it! :)
58 weeks agoOMG that sounds so good!
59 weeks agoI'm so hungry right now. I could definitely use a chocolate pizza.
62 weeks agoNot much was left from the chocolate pizza this year...so it's safe to say the slight changes to the recipe were a huge hit, as is the pizza itself!
64 weeks agoI didn't even know Brazilians made pizza-- and now "delicious moments" on the pizza box--someone has definitely got their finger on the pulse.
64 weeks agoYou never cease to amaze me.
64 weeks agoand here I always thought you were *baking* these chocolate pizzas! :-) As an 18 year taste tester of this good cheer, I thank you for the chocolate moments (and can I sign up for a 20 year commemorative bitter-sweet calzone?)
64 weeks agoI look forward to Trey's special outfit he puts together to go on deliveries-- usually some contrasting plaid suit with a Christmas tie- fabulous!!
64 weeks agoI always thought his wild ensamble complimented the look of pizza toppings nicely. And one year I could swear his pockets were filled with shredded coconut!
64 weeks agoI love the custom thisMoment pizza boxes.
64 weeks agoYeah, I had those printed up special. They forgot to include the URL though, so they gave me a discount.
64 weeks agoCan you believe that box? We always pick up the boxes from the same Brazilian pizzeria down the street -they had new box designs this year, it really tripped me out!
64 weeks agoIt's a sign, of what I don't know, but a sign, nonetheless
