This was the least sanitized of the national parks we visited--you can just drive your own car out into the dirt among these incredible formations. It's on a native American reservation, so that may explain the lack of park rangers and nicely paved (and guard-railed) walkways. After the Grand Canyon, these was definitely the most jaw-dropping views of the trip. And it was fun to see Chaghig so excited to see where all those old John Wayne cowboy movies were filmed.
