This moment makes me feel
I usually get pretty bored while running by myself. I try to not listen to music so I don't distract myself from my breathing, and also because I enjoy hearing the sounds of life around me as I run around Pasadena.
Every Saturday morning at 7:00 am, the Pasadena Running Club gathers at the Rose Bowl for their weekly run. It's usually a 6+ mile run that takes us through Orange Grove, Linda Vista, and all the other streets in Pasadena that have houses whose mortgages I can't afford. This Saturday will be the first time I meet them, and the chance that there will be people near my age to run with, is something I look forward to.
So now, not only do I meet new people, but I have people to actually talk to while I run...I hope they don't kick my ass with their running skills though :)

31 weeks agoAgain...you're listening to your wise sister who told you to join a running club and art classes...I'm proud of you and very happy that you're participating in activities that you enjoy. You'll meet people who share common interests, all the while doing things you naturally enjoy. Let me know how it goes!!
31 weeks agohooray for all the new changes - I'm proud of you for getting out there Armen. But I think getting up at 7 am to go running, make that getting up at 7 am for anything when you don't have kids, is completely and totally nuts. Run at 10, the Rose Bowl will still be there.
