This moment makes me feel
On Friday July 24, 2009, I will be going out on a first date in over 5 years! I have no idea what to expect, and quite frankly, this freaks me out. After all, the last girl I went out on a first date with, ended up being my girlfriend for 5 years! I DEFINITELY am not expecting anything like that this time around, and I think that's a good thing.
I'm really nervous because I have been out of the dating game for a long time, and don't know how to "spit mad game" or "holla at shorties" anymore. I assume I shouldn't be playing "My Ambitions Az A Ridah" by Tupac...might not leave a good first impression.
Overall, I am excited to just make new friends and enjoy my night out, even if the girl isn't my type at the end!

Hey Armen...don't give up on the physical attraction. It's not always immediate. With me and Deborah it snuck up on us. In fact, both of our first reactions to each other when we met just as teacher buddies was "Nice, but not attracted to her". I thought her hair was too short and not so cute and she thought I wasn't femi enough. So there you go. Don't rule it out and enjoy the company and the distraction!

This DID happen, and I think it went well. It would have been better if I was attracted to the girl so I would have been able to look forward to more dates. But seeing as how she is a very nice girl who has a few things in common with me (not that that really matters), she is def someone who I would like to be friends with.
57 weeks agoWe talk for a bit almost every day, and I am sure we will go out again to see another movie or something (we saw The Ugly Truth) but as far as getting close in a physical way, I don't see it happening on my part anyway.
I'd give the date a 7 out of 10, just basing it off of how well the night went and how little awkward silence there was, haha!
well I think it's great you got out and you never know - sometimes good friendship leads to physical attraction - glad it wasn't a bust!

58 weeks agoMet her through a friend of mine. Looking at her pictures, i can kind of already tell that she isn't my type. She is cute, but not what I'm used to (if you know what mean). But she is very nice, smart, and seems to have a great personality...so we'll see!
