My family decided to do a short version of the 11 mile hike listed in our trail book, and stop off at the first ledge at about 1.5 miles. No rattlesnakes in sight, though we did see some switchback action. The view was pretty nice. I think my dad had his workout for the month. But he did listen to some old school Madonna on his iphone to help him up the mountain. In a dress shirt and slacks. That's his standard weekend wear.

The whole family hiked the two miles to Rattlesnake Ridge and we were greeted with an amazing view.
