My friend Julie and I decided to bike to SoMA to visit Sightglass, a new coffee roastery/bar started by two brothers. While it isn't open yet, they are serving coffee from a kiosk in the garage area (queue hidden Subaru Outback for indie jams). They've got a Probat roaster, but it's not yet operational. For the time being, the beans come from Verve down in Santa Cruz. The space itself is quite large and expansive. The original mezzanine is intact, the architecture dramatic, with plenty of natural light highlighting the wooden rafters. We took a little tour, and drank way too much coffee...
