My folks were big on family outings on the weekends. We'd either head to the mountains or the beach and in our true immigrant style, it was never just a small production. My parents would pack a giant cooler (pass the cucumbers) and we'd spend the entire day out at Newport Beach. We'd top off the day with pizza from BJ's and head home sunburned and sandy.
