My sister convinced my dad that we needed to join the Indian Princesses, a father-daughter group that met monthly for meetings and then got together for Pow-wows and campouts and such. At the pow-wows we'd sit around in a circle and each tribe would chant their calls. Ours was "caw caw caw croooowwwww, whoaaah." I hang my head in shame thinking about it now...my dad got fed up with it and made us quit as soon as they asked him to be the Indian Chief. They thought he was so wise looking.
My Indian name was Setting Sun, or was it Rising Sun

How excited was your father about dressing up like an Indian? Us Armenians...don't do Indians!
66 weeks agoGreat moment, Chaghig. I was volunteered to be the Chief for my little girl's Indian Princesses tribe this year. Search in thisMoment on Indian Princesses and check 'em out! :)
69 weeks agoHey let's not overdo it on the self-promotion, Walliser.
69 weeks agolol - Hey, I'm just trying to get my personal metrics up!
69 weeks agoThat's cool, you can use my moments for personal gain. I just can't believe this organization still exists. Tell me it's a little more PC now, cause when we were in it, there was a whole lot of stuff that would probably make any native American cringe.
69 weeks agoI was in a similar group called the Little Indians or something. I think I was the only one in the "tribe" with Native American blood, talk about ashamed! We did make these really cool giant marbles though...so that was nice.
75 weeks agoFor me it was called the "Indian Guides".
69 weeks agoYeah that's it, Indian Guides... I found the photo over the weekend and just made a moment! Soon to be a related moment on this moment!
69 weeks agoYes I have a related moment as well - would love the ability to somehow credit Chaghig's moment for spawning the idea.
69 weeks agoFirst idea is free, after that I want some perks.
69 weeks agoThat could be one of the most inappropriate organizations I've ever heard of. I mean, in the 1960's, yeah, but not the early 80s!
75 weeks agoLOL. That is so great!
75 weeks agoThe short Indian Princess in the front with the crazy messed up face paint- that's me.
