To end our journey, we ended up in Paris for two days. It was really one full day so we crammed in as much as we could in our exhausted states. I also had decided I wanted to try to be a bit more artsy with my photography, so there a few more pics than normal here. Head over to Flickr if you really want to see all the shots.
We went for coffee. Then to Luis Vuitton. Got on a tour bus in the middle of winter in the rain to see as many sites as we could from the bus until we were so cold we had to get off. Went to Notre Dame. Had lunch at a bistro while a couple basically had sex next to us. Tried forever to find the subway with every Parisian giving us the wrong directions. Went up the Eiffel Tower. Made our way back to the Hotel where I passed out before dinner and Amy ended up going out for Pizza by herself. I heard some stories about that pizza trip in the morning, but I will let her tell you.
One of the coolest things was seeing the twin pillar of the one we had seen in Luxor Egypt at the start of our trip. It is very rare that people would ever see both of these pillars, never mind in the same trip! It was a really special moment!
Second morning had us back to the same place for coffee, back to Luis Vuitton, then to the airport.
I had only been to Paris for one other day with Vince and hated it, but this time, the city slipped her paws around me and I really have an itch to visit during the warmer months.
Paris is beautiful - the language, the food, the people (even though they got me lost).
This is a great city stopover before your trips ends. My biggest highlight before setting foot in Paris was Louis Vuitton. Because we only had a day, we had to pick and choose and decided the Big Bus Tour would be ideal. However, it was so cold and we didnt have the right clothes (since we came from Africa where it was warm)!. We saw a few stuff as Scott mentioned and spent a lot time at the Eiffel Tower.
At the end of the day, Scott was exhausted and I wasnt going to spend my last night in Paris with a crappy hotel meal. So I ventured off, in our neighborhood to look for food and came across this italian restaurant and ordered pizza. On my way back, I got completely lost. The streets are intertwined and I couldnt figure out what I was - kept on retracing my steps, but still, I ended up no where. I asked for directions and the Parisians hated my guts and gave me the wrong info. After 1 hour, I finally found my way back which was only 2 blocks from the hotel!

It’s amazing that regardless of the countless pictures of Paris, each time is presented by someone's perspective is still unique and captive. I am so glad you liked the city better this time. I agree, the streets are quite challenging, but “c'est la vie.”

I have to say I'd expected the soundtrack for a Paris video to be in French, if it were going to be non-English. But then again, I'm biased and francophile. ;)

67 weeks agoThanks, I was trying to represent the City's high tech, progressive side, couple with it's laid back, lets make out all day long at the coffee shop side.

67 weeks agoGreat pictures Scott. I spent six weeks in Paris after high school and still didn't see it all. It seemed like every pizza I had there had a fried egg in the middle of it...
