Dylan and I were on our way to some rave at the cow palace. He asked if I wanted him to drive us in his Integra. I said I could drive. I said something along the lines of "the Trooper has never let me down!"
Well as it turns out, we were late on the 90k mile service. Or maybe it was 120k mile. In any case, as we were crossing the bay bridge, it suddenly became unresponsive. Pushing on the gas did nothing. So with numerous cars honking at me, I coasted off to the side. Luckily we happened to be at the only point on the bridge with a pullout.
We pulled over, pushed the service light, and got towed back to east bay side of the bridge.
The trooper never recovered. The timing belt braking destroyed the engine. A new engine would cost more than the trooper was worth.
