This moment made me feel
It was the first time we had all gone up for a two day trip in a couple of years, so we made the most of it!
We spent Saturday at Alpine, which is now my favorite mountain. We rode hard from 9 to 3:30. I kept pushing myself harder and harder through the slop parts of the mountain to get better on that terrain, resulting in some epic falls. One of which I was completely out of control on. While the hooting and hollering of people above was pumping me up, I just was going way too fast and the terrain was way to rough to make a decent turn, resulting in a brutal crash that snapped my neck back, bent my wrist and sent my skis flying through the air. While the other falls I would get up and give a big "Woooah!" from, this one had be trying to figure out which way was up and why one of my skis was sticking straight up and down out of the snow.
At the end of the day we drove into Reno to spend the night at the Silver Legacy. We ate, gambled and had an awesome time. Amy spent about 30 minutes it felt like rolling dice at the craps table. It was an epic run.
We spent Sunday at North Star, but I was too wiped to really enjoy it. We were going down some really steep, crunchy stuff and I was so tired, I was thinking more of not falling, then enjoy the ride.
While we only got up 5 days this year due to a late start, we had some good times and I am still in love with the sport.

I love the idea of an annual Whistler trip! But boy do I have a lot of practicing to do before I become a proficient snowboarder!
