The Leopard is hard to find because it likes to hunt at night and stay hidden during the day.
We had been out on several drives already and Amy was always asking about the Leopard. We had spent several hours on multiple drives looking for one in all the likely places with no luck.
On this drive we spent the entire morning looking for a Leopard and no one could spot one, until all of a sudden our Guide whispered loudly "Leopard!" and took off....
These leopards are sleuth creatures. On Day 2, I asked to see a leopard and we looked all day. No leopard. On day 3, mid-morning drive, our driver, Masa, spotted this leopard from far away. He says "Leopard. Leopard...leopard" and drove as fast as he could. I thought I was going to fall out of the jeep. I was so excited to finally see the Leopard. Masa was bragging about it to his fellow colleagues!

52 weeks agoThanks everyone. I love this video. That bird is a warning system for all the other animals....which is why he usually only comes out at night. For the lions the Jackel is the alarm sounder. I love that little jackel.
52 weeks agoThis feels like a videogame! And why is that bird harassing the leopard? Is he molesting their nest?
52 weeks agoWow, that is just spectacular, Scott. The Kenyan tourism board owes you a huge thank you, because I can't imagine anybody seeing this and not immediately putting a trip to Kenya on their future moments.
53 weeks agoFantastic stuff. Reminds me of how incredible the guides are at spotting wildlife.
