I didn't make it in time for The Watchmen panel, but I caught the entire Star Trek and the start of the Terminator: Salvation presentations. Both included fantastic new trailers! I was never all that interested in the booths on the show floor, but I did buy a red pillow shaped like Mario's hat. Before their final run through Moscone, the Yip Yips recruited me as their new "helper" while Jules went shopping. I ditched them after about 10 minutes--the sweaty show floor just smelled awful at that point, and trying to dodge camera fire was no fun. Sorry, Yip Yips!
Stan, Kevin and I dressed up as the Yip Yips to walk the convention floor. Some people recognized us from last year. Lots of kids were scared of us, including Trey's and Stephen's. Austin defended himself admirably.
There were a lot of other cool costumes at the convention including Bumble Bee from the transformers movie, some cousins from Katamari and everyone from the 501st legion.

bummed we missed the yip-yips, it got pretty packed in there!
54 weeks agoOK, time to delete those placeholder photos! Mike's photos are better than mine, but wait until I get my Lumix!
54 weeks agoMan, the pictures I took are so grainy (canon elph SD630) compared to the ones I took with Mike's Nikon. And the color intensity is kind of washed out. I need to find a new super camera. That is also compact.
54 weeks agonews break: Austin and I now have a mission, we will get a photo with Carrie Fisher.
54 weeks agoI missed you, Austin and Carrie at the show. Were you successful?
54 weeks agoNo Carrie was the draw of a very long line. So we skipped the chance. We did meet the actor who played George McFly in Back to the Future 2 and 3, Jeffrey Weissman, who made Austin a nice balloon animal. He also had some quality time with Jamie Luner who as next to Weissman.
53 weeks agoAustin are hitting this up Saturday morning. Any east baysiders want a ride?
54 weeks agoAlso supposed to be a screening of Terminator: Salvation which could be DOPE. But this event has nothing on G.A.M.E. -- I still might go, though.
54 weeks agooh JEEZ. do I have to?
54 weeks agoAll of you wives/girlfriends knew what you were getting into when you first caught your husband/boyfriend's eye over that D&D table/board game/comic book/Conan novel years ago, so I have no sympathy!
54 weeks agoUm, but I thought he'd grow out of it?
54 weeks agoWith three young, imaginative minds running around the house I think you should be more worried about him growing back IN to it. Your household is only missing a Bard. Once you have that your party is complete and it is time to get out the old 20-siders again.
54 weeks agoI'll be there in the neighborhood of 11:00 to 3:00 on Saturday. See you guys there!
54 weeks agoI think I might be there around 11 a.m. before the Watchmen panel begins. Woot Wooot
